The General Telecommunications Law (LGTel), in its article 69, grants the CNMC the authority to require providers of internet access services and publicly available interpersonal communication services to publish complete, comparable, reliable, easily accessible, and updated information about the quality of their services.

The publication of evaluable, reliable, and relevant quality parameters for consumers is undoubtedly beneficial for competition, as it allows users to make purchasing decisions with a higher level of information.
